A perfect example of a lack of understanding regarding both stoicism and philosophy.  Let your emotions rule your actions? Sounds like a recipe for both discontent as well as ineffectiveness, but unfortunately it seems that too many believe it is the right course, especially among the younger generation.

The way I attempt to get things done is by letting my rational mind direct my actions, not my monkey mind that is driven my emotion and narcissism.  Even then, I have to be on guard for stories that my monkey mind will tell to attempt to justify self serving paths or actions.
